It was unnerving how quickly the call for full lockdown had come. But as with any crisis; with urgency comes action. Moving swiftly, we swooped up surplus food from anyone who would donate it, to redistribute it to those who would need it. For Morzine’s local charity Montagne Verte, a food bank was the obvious solution.
As we regain some form of momentum in the coming weeks, changing rhythm again, it’s important we listen to what has been emerging within this pause. To hear our deep knowing that tells us the health of humanity is undeniably linked to the health of our planet.
For me, the best remedy for our situation is to just be present. During times of hardship, living in the present moment offers us all a comforting balm, outside of past grievances or future worries. A place of acceptance for what is now - although it’s not always that easy.
Life is strange right now. Jarring for so many. Our communities around the globe have come to both a complete standstill and extreme urgency simultaneously. With isolation, the planet has momentarily pressed pause on “normality”. The disruption is wide-spread and far-flung, it’s resolution seemingly incomprehensible right now.
