Building back better?

Building back better?

As we regain some form of momentum in the coming weeks, changing rhythm again, it’s important we listen to what has been emerging within this pause. To hear our deep knowing that tells us the health of humanity is undeniably linked to the health of our planet. To question how we can rebuild better, with more reverence and wonder for our natural world, in a way that can support and improve our communities.

In seeking a more holistic relationship with one another and the Earth, we have an opportunity to use our reunion with our fundamental values to ground and orientate our actions. To act from a place of compassion and understanding, and to pursue relationships with each other and the planet that are mutually enhancing.

So how are we responding to our current landscape? What seeds are we planting for a new future? Asking what kind of world we want to live in and what we value most is critical during this time.

Do we want to head back down the path of destruction and life of separateness? Or come together to rebuild resilient, regenerative communities that encourage wellbeing?

To create a more harmonious future, it has to be together. As Audre Lorde said, ‘Without community there is no liberation.’
