What's Your Meditation?

What's Your Meditation?

Your Dharana can be whatever you choose to give focus to, but your Dhyana, your true meditation, happens in the space between active thoughts; an intense focus without any effort or will. For me, ski touring often rivals stillness.

The crunch of snow as your skins glide over the ground; the rise and fall of your chest as you start to sweat; the joy in the monotony as you plod one foot in front of the other; the rhythmic pace as your legs simultaneously tire and strengthen with every step. Being totally present in your action. Taking in your surroundings. No phones, no screens, no distractions. Just you and nature connected by your movement.

That's mine.
