5 Best Spots for Autumn Hues in Wanaka, New Zealand

After almost completely missing Autumn for 2 years whilst I chased the snow around the globe, i'd kind of forgotten how beautiful shoulder season could be. The bright vivid tones of the trees, the clear blue skies against frosty peaks, and the sun starting to hang just that little lower in the sky as the temperature starts to drop. 

With changing seasons, Lake Wanaka takes on a whole new life. The lake reflects Autumn hues and the town slows slightly, sighing relief before Winter shows her pretty face and we're thrown into full ski mode.

As we wait, the scenes of the Southern Lakes call for adventures into the hills and by the lake. Whilst the colours were at their best, I ventured to some of the most photogenic places around our humble home with some buddies to take advantage of our epic backyard.
